If you are like me, you studied French for years in school, forgot most of it in your adulthood and maybe looking to pick it up again.
I like how the book is organized: pictures, simple explanations, and special notes on real-life usage. As a beginner (or re-learner), you probably wouldn’t need to use these expressions immediately but it would be helpful to understand them in a conversation.
I also thought it was good to pick up additional vocabulary while studying this book.
Fun way to learn a bit of French
I like idioms and finding out where the sayings come from. I was surprised that quite a few are very similar or the same as English idioms. This is an essential part of any language--very helpful. I've spent a couple of years in other countries, and understanding archaic meanings of sayings is nearly impossible. This book unlocks some of the mystery.
