The story is Clara going to France on exchange and follows her life in a coherent linear way, introducing new topics in each chapter. Unsure of some of the difficult words? There's a little translation section right under the paragraph. I loved this since you don't have to break your flow and flick to the back of the book or find a dictionary, you can quickly see it and continue the story.
I'm a French teacher and I was impressed by how well the chapters were written. My students love Clara's trip to France! I also love the facts that (1) the translation in English is well placed so it is not bothering you while you're trying to understand the French version, but it's also easy to look up for it, (2) vocabulary is highlighted and explained, (3) there are understanding questions at the end of each chapter.
